Discover the low temperature‍‍‍ v‍‍‍acuum sealed method for cooking perfect food with richer flavours, bolder colours and better nutrition.

Sous-vide is a French term that translates to under Vacuum. The sous vide process involves sealing food in a vacuum-sealed plastic pouch or a glass jar and then placed in a water bath or steam environment for longer than normal cooking times (anywhere from 30 minutes up to 48 hours) at an accurately regulated temperature. The temperature is much lower than normally used for cooking, from around 41°C for rare meat and higher for well done and vegetables. The intent is to cook the food evenly, ensuring that the inside is properly cooked without overcooking the outside, and to retain flavour and moisture.

During this lesson, you will be shown how much easier preparing meals such as grilled meats, eggs, cooked fruits and vegetables is with this method.
